SIOUX FALLS (AP) — The U.S. Agriculture Department says South Dakota's corn, sunflower, soybean and wheat prices were up in September.
The corn price, at $3.89, was up 61 cents from August and up 91 cents from last year.
The spring wheat price of at $6.53 was 72 cents higher than August and $1.45 higher than last year. The September soybean price of $9.65, was 6 cents higher than August and 49 cents higher than last year.
The preliminary winter wheat price of $5.89 was up 75 cents from August and up $1.28 from last September.
The preliminary all sunflower price, at $16.40, was up $1.20 from August and up $3.80 from last year.
Preliminary prices for calves were up, while barrows and gilts were down.
