Increase in DAP prices
WITH the advent of the wheat sowing season, di-ammonium phosphate price has started rising. Over the last two weeks, its price jumped by around Rs700 per bag from Rs2,500 to Rs3,200.
Growers may have to take an estimated hit of Rs14 billion for 20 million bags on the DAP head alone.
Coupled with this burden is a steep rise of Rs5 per litres in diesel price. Diesel is used during November when wheat sowing starts. According to farmer bodies’ estimates, the consumption is around two billion litres.>>>>>> More
